About
Caro is a global health and gender equity professional who specializes in designing and delivering innovative programs focusing on historically excluded populations. With 10 years of experience in the field, Caro is a passionate self starter who loves developing and implementing global health programs, facilitating sensitive subject matter (especially in sexual health), and building relationships (especially cross-culturally). Her work has focused in West, East, and Southern Africa, as well as locally in New York City where she lives.
With a Master of Science in Global Gender Studies, Caro has taught comprehensive sex education to young people and adults in multiple countries, always with a focus on gender equity. She is on the Technical Experts Roster for UN Women’s Ending Violence Against Women Program for expertise in sexual and reproductive health and rights in Sub-Saharan Africa and prevention of violence against women. Most recently, she is serving as an advisor to ClutchKit and helping them develop pregnancy prevention resources for young people in the United States.
